Cellar pick of the Week: Poggiotondo Organic Chianti DOCG 2017
Grape varietal: Canaiolo Nero, Sangiovese, Colorino del Valdarno

This wine is 100% organic: The fruit was fermented with indigenous yeasts and Malolactic fermentation occurred naturally. It has a deep garnet red colour. On the nose, dried oregano aromas are entwined with dark and red cherries. Ripe cherries on the palate are balanced with grainy tannins so typical of traditional Chianti, with a vibrant, fresh acidity on the finish.

Food pairing: Gnocchi alla Norma – Gnocchi with eggplant confit, cherry tomatoes, parmesan cheese
